The brief
Transform the ground floor area of this end of terrace Victorian family home. Prevent the living area from being a corridor to the music room. Create a new kitchen by moving it from the lower side extension and convert this space into a shower room and den for the children.
The solution
A new entrance through the edge of the dining area to the side extension puts an end to the living area and music room being a corridor to the lower extension. The new lobby leads to a den-cum-utility room. The design and styling throughout all the rooms uses tonal combinations of colours and melds high street pieces with one-off-finds.
